Trainings & Calendar
Our trainings are divided into three main sessions:
- Monday night skills training - General Netball skills and drills
- Thursday fitness training - We start fitness trainings 3 months before a tournament
- Saturday League Morning - A chance to practice the skills we learnt on Monday night, or prepare for a tournament
Our court and clubhouse is based on the Kinderdijkstraat 29 in Amsterdam.
The first Monday and Saturday of evey month, we hold open Orientation sessions for people who would like to join our club.
Monday Orientation session (FREE): Good stretching and warming up, followed by a short circuit to get the muscles going. The rest of the training will be focusing on medium intensity skills training (ball drills, footwork and general movement), ending it off with 20 minutes of game play.
After the session we will also be hosting drinks close by. This is a great way to meet current members and test the club vibe 🙂
Saturday Orientation match play (€8): An open session where club members can mix and play in teams. You grab a bib and get delegated into a team for the morning.
AMSTERDAM VS AMSTERDAM LEAGUE
Since our club has grown exponentially in the past two years, we've had a need to organize competitive matches among our members. These matches are every week on Saturday mornings and are open to non-members (pay as you play, €8/session) and members alike.
AMSTERDAM VS UTRECHT LEAGUE
To keep the competition level to a high standard, we have monthly matches against our sister club Utrecht Netball. These are great trainings for future tournaments, and we just love seeing Netball grow in The Netherlands!
We love a good pub quiz! We host 2 pub quizzes a year and use the procedings to fund our upcoming tournaments.
These quizzes are open to all Amsterdam Netball members and their families.
The most relaxed part of Netball: Brunches after Saturday morning trainings!
We usually pick a spot in the area and just have a quick bite before starting the weekend.
We end off our year with a Christmas party equal to no other!
Ugly Christmas sweaters are totally allowed.
At the end of every season (half year) we go do a fun group activity like bowling or laser tag.
