Hey there, netball fans! It's time to recap the awesome day we had at the Amsterdam Netball Club's annual tournament in 2023. Picture this: a sunny day, teams from all over Europe, and the unmistakable buzz of excitement in the air. Yep, it was a blast!
We had teams traveling from Germany, England, Belgium, and of course, our very own Amsterdam crew. The courts were alive with the sound of cheering and the sight of some seriously impressive netball skills.
First up, teams battled it out in their pools, giving it their all to secure their spot in the finals. It was intense, it was competitive, and it was oh-so-much fun to watch!
Then came the moment we'd all been waiting for: the cup, shield, and plate finals. The energy was through the roof as teams went head-to-head for the ultimate bragging rights. Amsterdam's Green team took home the plate, while Hamburg Netball Club snatched the shield. But ultimately, the London Club AP Saints brought their A-game, taking home the cup with a solid win over our very own Purple team. Congrats to them!
But you know what? Win or lose, the spirit of sportsmanship was alive and kicking. A huge shoutout to organizers Lucy and Blair for putting together such an epic event. And let's not forget all the amazing volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly – from umpiring,
scoring to timekeeping to lending a helping hand whenever needed, you were magnificent!
