FAQs

Q?

How do I become a member of Amsterdam Netball?

A.

Well this is the easiest part of all! Send us an email at info@amsterdamnetball.com or go to our memberships page, and sign up! Easy peezy.

Q?

What are the training days and times?

A.

Our open League Mornings are on Saturdays from 10:00 - 11:30 (sometimes 9:30-11:00). The League Mornings are open to first-timers and non-members (or casuals, who just like to rock up every now and again to play Netball!). Always leave some room for a nice brunch afterwards!

Once you’re a member, you can also join our Monday Skills trainings from 6:30 - 7:30. The first Monday of every month is open to non-members, to get to know our players and refresh their netball skills before jumping into a match.

In preparation for tournaments, we will also offer Wednesday fitness trainings from 18:30 - 19:30. These trainings are optional for those who want to work on their fitness and are offered weekly for approximately 3  months before a tournament.

Q?

What are the membership options?

A.

Half year membership (or season) for € 110, Yearly membership for € 170, Casual player € 8 per session.

Head on over to the memberships page, to learn more and sign up!

Q?

Do you play regular competitive games?

A.

You bet we do! Since we started, our aim was always to compete with other teams. We've played in 4 international amateur tournaments to-date and recently, we also started playing monthly matches against Utrecht Netball Club. In addition, we’re always looking to play competitively in the next amazing tournament in France, Spain...or even Dubai!

Q?

Eek! I haven’t played for more than 5 years! Can I still join?

A.

For sure! We are an all-inclusive club and welcome any skill level. Our only condition is that you have fun and work hard to improve your skills!

Q?

Where do you train?

A.

Until we find a permanent home, we are hosting the Monday Skills trainings in the gym Laan van Spartaan in West (Rinus Michelslaan 26, 1061 Amsterdam) and our Saturday League Mornings are in Sporthallen De Pijp in De Pijp (Lizzy Ansinghstraat 88, 1072 RD Amsterdam).

Fitness trainings are mostly outdoors and these will be posted on Facebook and the members Whatsapp group closer to the time.

Q?

What is the skill level?

A.

The skill level is a mix between basic, moderate and advanced players.

Q?

Do you have socials?

A.

Heck yeah! Apart from being a team, we’ve also become a close-knit Netball family. We organize a big social event once a year, host fundraisers and have social games with partners. In addition, our Facebook group has become a great starting point for members to network, go to concerts together, or even just a casual Friday movie night.
